  1. Imagine Sleepy Eyed, Buffalo Tom's best album to date and stuffed with blistering anthems and cool ballads. Endlessly playable and a major improvement on the leaden Big Red Letter Day and the even worse follow up Smitten. The likes of Crueler, Sunday Night and Summer easily rank with Tailights Fade as the best Buffalo Tom songs/5(9).

  3. Sleepy Eyed is a GREAT album. The first 4 songs are among the best in Buffalo Tom's entire catalog. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the guys to come out with such a strong release. They retain their melodic instincts but rock throughout the album. Tangerine (Bill's) and Kitchen Door (Chris's) are highlights/5(9).

  7. February 16, Report. referencing Sleepy Eyed, CD, Album, BBQCD Sleepy Eyed is the fifth cd of the Boston guitar trio Buffalo Tom. The cd sounds solid, but is certainly not innovative. On this album features 14 solid numbers, of ' noisy ' pop and country rock. Uptempo numbers such as Tangerine and Your Stripes but also a beautiful ballad is on this album: Twenty-points.
  8. Put Sleepy Eyed in your CD player, hit play, and prepare to be amazed -- "Tangerine," the lead-off cut, signals the brief but welcome return of "Dinosaur Jr. Jr." with two-and-three-quarters minutes of charging neo-grunge guitars and galloping drums, the likes of which you haven't heard from this band since, of course, Buffalo Tom sound a lot tighter, stronger, and more confident.
